Excellent facilities, great food, but some room for improvement

Excellent facilities. Buffet options varied and generally very high standard.

On check in we weren't told where the restaurant was or that we could have lunch before check-in at 2pm (we booked the 'pension completa' option). I queued again to enquire and was given a card for the restaurant but not wristbands so I had to go back again to get them. Our room was quite chilly as the weather was windy and not that warm and door to the terrace wasn't well sealed and the heating didn't seem to be working. The entertainment was a bit disappointing as we took our 2-year old daughter to the Mini Disco and after each song it seemed like hosts were calling for the hotel mascot 'Estivie' to appear, adding a special word each time and getting the kids to shout. Our daughter got really excited thinking Estivie was coming, then the disco ended and Estivie never came. We couldn't believe it! Not the end of the world but some areas for improvement.

Very Good

Great place to stay, few little things to improve for a better experience.. beautiful place, relaxing full of facilities.

I didn’t like the €15 deposit for pool towels per person, annoying, even worst they only accepted cash for deposit. The buffet is great but a bit slow when they run out of eggs on breakfast you have to wait quite a lot to be served.The buffet food get cold sometimes and you have to microwave to eat you food hot.

Wonderful

We stayed there with 2 young children. Lots of entertainment at the hotel. Swimming pool was great. Hotel is located next to the sandy beach. Shops and restaurant are within walking distance. Very helpful staff. Wide selection of food for both breakfast and dinner.

The perfect holidays

Everything was so clean and the pool having a middle island was perfect. As someone who gets sunburnt easily I'm used to not getting to enjoy much but since the pool had many places with some shade I was able to use it the whole day.

During meals (not breakfast) the drinks weren't included in the half pension or full pension, instead being part of the all included package. This wasn't mentioned anywhere and feels a bit predatory, limiting to one free drink per person would be better, as the all included is usually for those eating/drinking outside of meals

A very pleasant week, above our expectations

The food, the suite with two rooms, the pools, the snacks available during the day, the beach, the animation in the main pool,...

The noise from the animation after lunch and dinner and the lack of sound proof of both rooms, specially the children's. The hour at which the lunch started, which was quite late for a family with children. And the lack of effective window sun blocks. But overall, even with shorter nights of sleep, the experience was very very positive. A pleasant surprise.

Wonderful

very good pools for families with kids, also for swimming for adults staff mostly very helpful great choice for breakfast incl. glutenfree options great location, right at the very nice beach a gym, aqua gym dance every day was great Overall we enjoyed our stay at the resort, however, the hotel rooms could be 'updated' and the entertainment and kids club program could be, too. More in the below section.

The sofa that was unfoldable in our junior suite, was making a loud, bad sound by every movement of our kids when sleeping. We mentioned it at the reception after several days; I'm not sure it was actually fixed as we got used to the sounds (my bad not reporting here accurately) Most of the people who were at the hotel were from Spain and so the staff esp. is used to speaking Spanish, and some speak English (reception, breakfast/dinner..) The lady (there were two) at the shop in the hotel was fairly family-unfriendly when we were choosing things to buy with our kids. Of course we and kids want to touch the swim toys (incl. a "don't touch" sign) before we buy them. Context: This is a family hotel. Kids club program - just fyi, it is for 4 year old kids and older. If younger, the parent needs to be there with the child. Esp. Spanish speaking kids there so our 7 year old felt a bit not belonging, however, the bigger challenge was that for example the kids were coloring a picture for 1 hour and that was unfortunately super boring for our boy and he didn't want to come back to the kids club which was very unfortunate as they then did also some sport The mini disco is usually a highlight for our kids but not here as it was already at 6pm in the kids pool and it was a bit more 'relaxed'. Entertainment program in the evening - would be great to have discos, with dancing, besides the shows. We felt there were more people, not just us who would like that. It was a bit old-style entertainment program, considering there were quite a lot of people kids, teenage, people up to 40y old. We took a trip to Huelva through the partner agency/flyer at the hotel, however, it was not a good schedule for us - the tour guide was great but the agenda was fairly passive, always sitting (on the bus, then in the boat), had 30min on a local food market but we'd like to have 2-3h in Huelva ourselves to explore, too.

Nice hotel, but food is too basic

The garden and pool area are beautiful and great for kids. Good size rooms with small kitchen. Everything was very clean. Very friendly staff across all areas of the hotel.

The food lacks quality ingredients, which is the biggest downside of the hotel. They mainly use frozen vegetables and fish, which is a shame because the Huelva area is known for it´s seafood and agriculture. The meat is limited to chicken and stews, but in no occasion there were quality base products used. The chefs do their best to put tasteful meals on the table, which often worked out ok. However, their cutting costs on the food is the only reason why I won´t repeat my visit to this hotel.

Overall, we really enjoy it - even though we had a not so warm weather during our stay - but the hotel staff, the excell

Super clean, excellent food, different types of pools (that was a must for us with small kids - it would have been really perfect if the water was a bit warmer), super nice staff. The hotel is beautiful especially outside with the palm trees, the swimming pools, the lights at night and the direct access to the beautiful sandy beach is a must for long walks. Great activities for kids : Kids Club, Mini Disco, night show.

Bedroom was in need of a bit of maintenance : the door to the balcony could not close properly so we could not let our kids sleep in the sofa bed as we were afraid they could open the door + when it was windy, it made a lot of noise. The switch to switch off the light on the balcony was not working so the light was always on. The swimming pools are too cold. Our kids were literally freezing after 15min in the pool.

Great Stay! Perfect for our Family!

We love all the variety of Food. Especially the dinners were Amazing quality with lots of options. Very well presented and organized. We also like the fact that the buffet seating was organized and never too crowded.

I think the rooms could have been cleaner and it would have been nice to pay less for the inside pool.

The closed location to the beach.

Really cold water in the outdoor swimming pools. At least the one for babies could have been a bit warmer. Of course we've been there at the beginning of the season and in the middle of the summer might be OK. Also the access to the indoor swimming pool was surprisingly expensive even for kids (7 euros for 90 minutes). Beside the fact that in the offer was not written that we don't have access to the indoor swimming pool and I thought that is part of the deal. I recommend dropping by 50% the access for the kids, at least for May, June &September when the water outside might be cold.
